Hawaii Pacific University, commonly known as HPU, was established in 1965 as a private university. The university enrolls students from over 100 countries at its two campus locations. The main campus, which houses most of the business and liberal arts programs, is located in downtown Honolulu. Nursing and science programs, along with some general education courses, are held at the Hawaii Loa campus. The university offers several bachelor’s and master’s tracks in nursing to cater to students with many different educational backgrounds.
