Founded in 1854 as the Rhode Island State Normal School, Rhode Island College is located in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence. It is the college’s mission “to offer accessible education of the finest quality to traditional and non-traditional students from around the state, the region, and beyond.” The School of Nursing currently offers traditional and accelerated tracks toward pursing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, in addition to the Master of Science in Nursing.
