Salve Regina University is a private Catholic university founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1947. The campus itself is situated in a historical district and is home to 21 historic structures. Although the university offers 45 undergraduate degrees and numerous graduate programs, each student’s experience is comprised of three components, including a core curriculum, major courses, and elective courses. The Salve Core Curriculum consists of four specific interdisciplinary courses and one senior capstone completed by all undergraduate students. These courses are intended to encourage thought, discussion, and debate among students.
