Originally founded in 1969 as the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is comprised of seven schools specializing in different areas of the health sciences, spread across seven campuses. With an equal focus on quality education, cutting edge research, and excellent patient care, TTUHSC faculty and staff continue to meet the health care needs of nearly 2.5 million people in the surrounding community. The School of Nursing’s main facility is located in Lubbock, TX, operating as a primary health care center for Lubbock citizens, while also offering its students various degree program tracks at the baccalaureate, master’s and doctorate level.
