Founded in 1871, Shepherd is a liberal arts university that serves as the regional hub for academic, economic, and cultural opportunities for the region. Shepherd engages all members of the community by providing arts and educational programs to non-degree seeking adult learners in addition to its degree program offerings across nearly one hundred areas of study.
